    I think Miles knew why he was attempting to “sacrifice” himself and was trying so hard to not let him do that.

    If you think about it throughout the movie Miles always sticks by B. Parker’s side and holds the latter’s opinion so highly as if to tell him “it’s alright, Peter. You are still needed”.

    In the Alchemax, when Pete and Miles are crammed in the wind vents, Miles says the following:

    The fact the Pete has to “think over” how to answer Miles makes me believe that he meant to say something else. Something along the lines of “I didn’t know that people still cared about me and wanted me around”.

    If you notice Miles’s reaction that’s where you see it: the realisation that Peter needs help himself.

    From then on we can see Pete softening his act around Miles and proudly showing him off and helping him when needed.

    Even Gwen notices this when all three were in the RIPeter’s lab.

    At first glance it may appear that Gwen was just studying them to understand their behaviour and how their dynamics worked, but she realised something more. Miles is subtly trying to save Peter.

    The fact the Miles notices that Peter is feeling depressed over MJ and tries to cheer him up with their inside joke suggests that indeed Miles knows and is trying so hard to give Peter hope. And the fact that Gwen notices reinforces my theory.

    Then fast-forward to the scenes shown in the GIF set, where Miles doesn’t wanna hear of Peter’s excuses because he knows that Peter is just trying to avoid going back to his dimension. He’s more determined to do it now.

    At least this is my interpretation. I don’t know if it makes sense.

    scented candles are comforting and nice, sweet coffee drinks and black coffee drinks are both valid, romcoms are called “feel good” for a reason and you can watch them to feel happy it’s not a crime, decorate your room with fairy lights, drink hot cocoa with marshmallows, listen to that cd that everyone talks about and that you hear playing in the Starbucks all the time, popular things become popular because a lot of people like them and it’s ok to also like those popular things it doesn’t make you boring. I could go on but you know what I mean.

    your interests and simple pleasures are meant to entertain you, not meant to make you look entertaining to others.

    if you enjoy Basic™ things then embrace that enjoyment. that’s for you. enjoy it.
